In Telangana’s Nalgonda district, a man set himself on fire inside a police station after a drunk-driving case was filed against him. The man, identified as Ravilla Narasimha, was reportedly caught by police during a routine drunk-driving check while he was returning home after consuming alcohol. The police at Nalgonda 1-Town station booked a case against him under the rules for drunk driving.
Upset by the police action, Narasimha went to the police station, poured petrol on himself, and set himself on fire. Witnesses said he shouted, “Will you file a case against me?” before lighting the fire. Police officers present at the scene rushed to help him. A constable got injured while trying to put out the flames. Narasimha suffered serious burns and is currently in critical condition. Police have not yet released an official statement about the incident.

The woman was working as a constable at the Road Transport Corporation (RTC) depot in Kadapa district. She was reportedly in a relationship with a man from her village.
According to initial reports, the man had allegedly refused to marry her, which left her deeply hurt. In a moment of emotional distress, she poured petrol on herself and set herself ablaze in front of his home. Officials say the act seemed to have happened in the heat of the moment. These back-to-back cases have shocked the public and raised concerns about mental health, emotional distress, and the handling of sensitive personal and legal matters.
