Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband, businessman Sunjay Kapur, has sadly passed away at the age of 53. Reports say he died in the UK from a heart attack, which may have been caused by a bee sting in his throat.
Karisma Kapoor With Kids Leave For Sunjay Kapur’s Prayer Meet
Today, a prayer meet is being held for him in Delhi. Karisma Kapoor her children, sister Kareena Kapoor, Kareena’s husband Saif Ali Khan, and others were seen at the Kalina airport leaving for Delhi to attend the prayer meet.
Earlier this week, Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan and their close friend Malaika Arora were also spotted traveling to Delhi with their children for Sunjay’s funeral. Photos and videos from that day quickly spread on social media.
Sunjay was known for his love of polo and ran his own team called Aureus. At the time of the incident, he was reportedly playing a match against a team managed by Jaisal Singh, a hotel owner.
Sunjay and Karisma got married in 2003 and had two children together — a daughter, Samaira, and a son, Kiaan. They separated in 2014 and finalized their divorce in 2016. In 2017, Sunjay married model Priya Sachdev. The couple had a son, Azarias, and Sunjay also helped raise Priya’s daughter, Safira, from her earlier marriage.
