Alia Bhatt won her first National Award for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi. To receive the award, Alia left her fans and followers impressed as she donned her wedding saree and looked as ethereal as ever. Along with Alia, Kriti Sanon also won at the 69th National Film Awards and it was an absolute proud moment. Speaking of Alia, she was accompanied by her husband Ranbir Kapoor who cheered her for the win.

Alia Bhatt donned her wedding saree for the National Award

Gangubai Kathiawadi actress Alia Bhatt styled the Sabyasachi saree in a different manner. She tied her hair into a bun and accessorized it with white roses, looking as dreamy as ever. As Alia looked stunning, she also made a statement that it is absolutely okay to repeat your outfits. Sharing a series of pictures from her big day, Alia wrote, “A special day calls for a special outfit. And sometimes… the outfit is already right there (heart emoji). What’s special once again can be special again. And again.. #rewear #reuse #repeat” She did not just win the award, but she won millions of hearts.

Along with this, she also shared a bunch of memories she created when she went on the stage to receive her award from President Droupadi Murmu. Her photos also included some snaps with her husband Ranbir Kapoor, Allu Arjun, and Kriti Sanon.

Celebrities who won the National Award

The 69th National Film Awards was held at Vidya Bhawan in Delhi and several stars won big. Along with Alia Bhatt, Kriti Sanon won the National Award for Mimi, and Allu Arjun won the National Award as Best Actor for his role in Pushpa: The Rise. Pankaj Tripathi won the National Award for Best Supporting Actor for Mimi. Apart from these actors, Pallavi Joshi also bagged the award for best supporting actress for The Kashmir Files. Veteran actress Waheeda Rehman won the Dadasaheb Phalke Lifetime Achievement Award.
